Anything School Can Do You Can Do Better by Maire Mulllarney (ISBN 0905223381).

This is the story of a family with eleven children and their simple and wholesome approach to learning that they unfolded with the inspiration of a single Montessori book. Each child eventually goes to school at nine or so. It gave me a real encouragement that I am doing the right sort of thing, but how much more I could also do; I just need to take my blinkers off!

It may well be out of print as it was published in 1983 (Arlen House, Dublin) but there is nothing Old Fashioned about her way of being with the children, more it is very universal and appropriate if you want to be truly in touch with your children.
